Job Description
Great time to join a leading EPCM organisation in the new year working on large scale projects for Major Oil & Gas operator.

Working within the Structural Design group you will play a key role in the execution of Structural Design activities within the group.

You will be tasked with carrying out assigned design activities within the team for all Structural Design deliverables, ensuring technical integrity of work, consistency of work quality and ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with applicable codes and standards, procedures and the basis of design. Working with Project Leaders to ensure schedule is maintained on assigned projects on each asset.

Financial advisor

The main purpose of the Financial Advisor Support role is to provide support to all parts of the Norway Finance function in accordance with a detailed task list and priorities as agreed with the team lead.

Responsibilities:

Senior Planning Engineer

JOB PURPOSE: Proactively secure that the project(s) have right quality and up to date plans, to support the project decisions. Contribute actively to improvement/simplification proposals, throughout project development and execution phases and maintain an appropriate system of business controls for the Norske Shell Projects

DIMENSIONS: No direct reports Handling several interfaces and customers: Internally, for Project manager or specific opportunities / projects Internally, between opportunities / projects or different project managers. Internally, for the planning and reporting function towards other parts of the business such as finance, operations etc Externally, towards contractors / suppliers ORGANISATION: Functionally, part of the planning and reporting team Part of the various project teams on a day to day basis.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment through knowledge and awareness of and adherence to the company’s HSE policy. Responsible for providing planning service to the projects/opportunities in Norske Shell, covering all stages of project development from feasibility studies, through execution until hand-over to Operations. Create trust and credibility in our relations by providing proactive, professional, timely and reliable services in these project(s). This includes: Proactively interact with the project team(s) to secure updated plans for all work executed by the Project teams. Create and issue the schedules in PrimaVera and keep these updated. Co-ordinate input from sub project team-planning functions and/or contractors to maintain any integrated master control schedule(s) for projects incl providing the project manager with the list of plans to execute the project, and the hierarchy of these plans. Monitor, analyse and report schedule performance against plan and recommend necessary corrective actions, when required. Use the change mng system for schedule change control and provide accurate and timely input to regular reporting of project status. Assess the impact of approved changes and any deviations from the key project targets and milestones, including productivity monitoring and ‘What if?’ scenarios to aid project management decision-making Provide the Project Manager with monthly progress updates, forecast completions, together with critical path and trend analyses. Responsible for input to the Monthly Report, Planning and Performance Review Meetings, including review of critical activities, resource load and variance commentary/areas of concern related to current month performance. Provide year end/total project completion forecasts. Work with the Cost Engineer and Cost Estimators to ensure alignment of planning and cost control reporting and requirements. Cooperation with the risk management group to secure adequate input to risk work / probabilistic schedules to determine and communicate the possible range of schedule completion dates for the project. This will include tracking schedule risk mitigation efforts, the criticality of the main paths to completion, float consumption and the release of the 50/50 schedule contingency Be involved in developing the contract key dates, milestones and Shell plan dates for alignment with the overall integrated plan, by evaluating bid schedules and reviewing contractor plans to support contract award recommendations Verify that the contractors’ reported progress is correct and accurately reflected in the project’s integrated plan Ensure that necessary project control standards, procedures and work instructions are used. Participate in simplification/ implementation/maintenance of these, including appropriate procedures for Project Planning purposes as part of the Norske Shell Quality Management System.

KEY CHALLENGES: Considerable interaction with staff from other Project Engineering functions and contractors on cost/planning and performance management, requiring disciplined management of priorities, good communication and accurate and timely information flow. Handling the uncertainty in the early phases of projects / opportunities. In depth understanding of onshore gas plant development is preferred.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE BSc or MSc degree in engineering or its equivalent Experience gained in preparing plans, networks, resource plans, schedules and progress monitoring systems for projects in the onshore and offshore oil and gas industry. Fully familiar with project control practices and procedures and be able to apply these to complex projects. Well developed computer literacy and in-depth experience with relevant cost/planning software packages is essential, in addition to Project management/execution knowledge. Proven ability to operate with minimum supervision in a project team environment, including good communication and interpersonal skills.

Drilling Waste Management Engineer

The facility is a Semi Submersible drilling rig and will drill in deep water .

Drilling waste management job is a physical job which requires integrated body and mind.

Cuttings are the main challenge for this positions and waste minimization/management is the goal.

Drilling waste management and solids control engineers offshore have to be physically fit and to be responsible for operating /services and maintenance of shale shakers cuttings dryers and decanting centrifuges.

They have to have enough experience in operating of NOVbrandt or similar manufactured equipments ,services and maintenances.

Enough qualification regarding maintenance of rotating equipments such as pumps and decanting machines.

A basic knowledge on fluids mechanics and fluids properties.

Familiar with installation and commissioning of solids control equipments.

A basic information about electrical wiring and reading electrical diagrams

Familiar with MSDS documents and chemical handling manuals.

A DWM engineer will work as a drilling rig crew who might be able to inform co man and drilling manager regarding status of cuttings volume and cuttings container.

Able to perform various tests such as Oil on Cuttings tests –retort and gravity.

Passed offshore survival tests.

Knowledge about mud systems

Basic computer skill-MS Office program is a must.
